It teaches what it means to be an ideal son, father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, friend, and leader- not through instruction, but through example. Every challenge faced by its characters becomes a lesson for generations to reflect upon and embrace. Ramanand Sagar believed that stories possess the unique power to shape hearts and awaken conscience. He never regarded Ramayan as his personal achievement. With characteristic humility, he would often say:
